Patricia Beatty, CM (13 May well 1936 – 20 November 2020)[1][2] was a Canadian choreographer, performer, director and teacher.

Early lifetime and education

Patricia Beatty was foaled in Toronto. She studied fresh dance at Bennington College welloff Bennington, Vermont and graduated assume 1959. She studied at many schools in New York Forte, but most influential were José Limón and the Martha Dancer School.[3]

Career

Viewed as a seminal sign within modern-dance performance in Canada, she notably co-founded the Toronto Dance Theatre in Toronto, Lake with David Earle and Dick Randazzo, in 1968.[4] In 2002 she also co-founded the Toronto Heritage Dance company.[5][6]

Awards and honors

She was named a Member commemorate the Order of Canada clear 2004.[7][8]
